However, his recent injury history may actually bode well for his future in the Ohio Capital. The Columbus Dispatch noted that Gaboriks experience - plus his recent injury struggles - could place him in a unique position for his next contract. Should Gaborik remain on injured reserve through the Olympic break, Aaron Portzline notes he will exceed 100 days.
