The Florida Panthers have traded goaltender Tim Thomas to the Dallas Stars in exchange for goaltender Dan Ellis. Thomas, 39, signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract with the Panthers prior to this season after choosing to sit out the 2013 NHL season.
